Another Rich Wilde Adventure!

Rich Wilde and The Amulet of Dead online slot by Play’n Go

Play’n GO’s most notorious adventurer returns to ancient Egypt in Rich Wilde and the Amulet of Dead, a 5-reel, 3-row, 10-payline slot machine game. All you have to do to get a winning combination is to simply land three or more matching symbols from left to right across any of the paylines. You can form wins by landing just two of the higher value symbols too.

The latest release from Play’n Go boasts a new Wild feature that can even multiply any wins you get from the Special Expanding Symbol in the Free Games! When landing fully stacked, Thoth Wilds give you multipliers of up to 5x.

You can play this game from €0.10 to €100 per spin, thus catering for all pockets. While the PLUS [+] and MINUS [–] buttons are clearly visible on the desktop version, they can be accessed on mobile devices via the settings section.

The Rich Wilde and the Amulet of Dead has an RTP of 96.29% which is slightly higher than the average RTP of 96%. The volatility is not as high as other Play’n GO slots, so its volatility is considered to be “medium to high”. Ranked at 7/10 by the developer, the max win is 2,500 x your total stake per spin.

Based on Novomatic’s Book of Ra

For those who are not aware, the Rich Wilde slots are based on Novomatic’s land-based iconic slot machine game ‘Book of Ra’, launched in 2005. Many slot providers have taken inspiration from its 10 payline, 10 Free Game feature with Special Symbols, combined Scatter/Wild format, and have released countless variations of the same model.

Play’n Go came along in 2016 with Rich Wilde and the Book of Dead, a 100% math and theme facsimile of Book of Ra. Rich Wilde and the Amulet of Dead takes the iconic feature a step further in this 2021 rendition of a cult classic.

Toth: An ancient Egyptian deity

With an ancient Egyptian theme, the Rich Wilde and the Amulet of Dead slot focuses on the deity Thoth. He is depicted as a man with the head of an ibis with animals sacred to him. He’s also the god of wisdom, the dead and hieroglyphs amongst other things.

Set in the Temple of Isis II, Rich Wilde travels between the realms of the living and the dead.

Symbols include A, K, Q, J and 10 royals. The lower value symbols include Anubis, Tutankhamen, Horus and Rich Wilde. Rich Wilde is the highest value symbol giving you 0.2, 2, 20 or 100 x your total stake for 2, 3, 4 or 5 in combination. The Thoth deity is the wild symbol which substitutes for all symbols except for the Scatter symbol.

You can play Rich Wilde and the Amulet of Dead on mobile, tablet and desktop devices as standard. Produced using HTML5 technology, the 5×3-reel layout lends itself well to smartphones. The high-quality graphics and animations work just well as handheld devices than larger screens.

Rich Wilde Amulet of Death Slot Machine Game - Toth multiplier

Thoth Multiplier feature

Thoth wild symbols can only appear on the three middle reels. When the Thoth wild appears as a stack, the Thoth Multiplier feature is activated. The more fully stacked Thoth wilds you land, the bigger the multiplier:

  • 1 fully stacked Thoth wild: 2x multiplier
  • 2 fully stacked Thoth wilds: 3x multiplier
  • 3 fully stacked Thoth wilds: 5x multiplier

This multiplier is then applied to all wins on the triggering spin. This feature is available in the base game as well as the free spins. Furthermore, the multiplier will apply to scatter wins.

Free Spins feature

The Free Spins feature is played when you land three or more pendant scatter symbols. With 10 free spins awarded, a random high value or royal symbol is chosen to become the special expanding symbol.

The special expanding symbol can expand to cover all three positions on its reel. However, this will only expand when it gives you a winning combination. Your win potential per free spin depends on what symbol you get. The higher the value of the special expanding symbol, the bigger the potential max win:

Symbol Max Win
Q, J or 10 200 x stake
K or A 300 x stake
Anubis or Tutankhamen 1,500 x stake
Horus 4,000 x stake
Rich Wilde 10,000 x stake

Furthermore, this special expanding symbol will pay scatter style and doesn’t need to appear adjacent to another to give you a winning outcome. For example, you could land this symbol on reels 1, 3 and 5 and you will still get a win.

Remember that the Thoth Multiplier feature can also be triggered, leading to a 5x multiplier on free spins wins. During the free spins, only fully stacked Thoth wilds will substitute for a special expanding symbol. Furthermore, 3 or more scatters appearing on a free spin will retrigger the feature to give you 10 additional free spins. You could play with unlimited free spins.
